I have an exciting spring planned. In April I will be in two shows in the Mendocino area. I will have a solo show at Edgewater Gallery in Fort Bragg, CA called "Illuminations". It will introduce my new lamps! I will also be part of a group show in Mendocino with my fellow Anderson Valley art pals. It will be at the Oddfellows Hall down the street from the Art Center.
My sculpture "PigeonPole" was just published in the newly released book, "American Art Collector", a juried competition of new work from across the country. I have a few copies of the book available for $15 each. E-mail me if you are interested in purchasing a copy.
The Sacramento Arts Fair was terriffic! Thanks to everyone who came and a special thank you to my friend who delivered the Sunday afternoon brownies. They were delicious and just what I needed to get me through the last few hours of the fair and the dreaded pack-up.
This week I had the opportunity to visit the home where a recent custom piece of mine has been installed. The owners have a small triangular niche at the top of their stairwell and commissioned a tower sculpture to fit.
Look for me at the "Friends Show" at the Elk Gallery in Elk, CA this Nov/Dec. My friend/photographer, Sharon Garner, has invited me to be her 'friend' for this show. It will be a great place to do some holiday shopping! Sharon's work can be seen at http://www.ssquaredartproductions.com/pages/fine_art.html
The fall craft fair schedule is well underway. I have three fairs left before Christmas that I am busily working toward. The first will be October 24-26 at the Sacramento Convention center. For more information log onto www.americanartfestivals.com.
My final two fairs will be Thanksgiving weekend at the Mendocino Art Center and the first weekend in December at the Davis Art Center.
